About Maddie Stanton

I am a 15-year-old competitive surfer hailing from the sun-kissed shores of Encinitas, California. I am a freshman at Audeo High School, and my journey on the waves began at the tender age of 7, riding tandem with my dad along the home breaks and exotic Nicaraguan coasts.

My love for surfing blossomed during a 2015 trip to Nicaragua, etching the thrill of the waves into my heart. Under the guidance of my dad and mentor Jason Kenworthy, my surfing continues to develop. My local surfing spot at Seaside Reef is where I carve my path, inspired by heroes like Sawyer Lindblad, Alyssa Spencer, Caity Simmers, and Caroline Marks.

Beyond surfing, my passions extend to art, skating, and fishing. If I could surf like anyone in the world, it would be Gabriel Medina, admiring his style, airs, and tube riding.
